Orff Schulwerk: The Splendid Artichoke of Music Education
Come join Judith as she leads a special 50th Anniversary workshop. This will be a celebration of our Berkshire-Hudson Valley chapter of AOSA and all of the joys, artistry, and depth of musical understanding this very unique approach to group music affords through singing, movement, speech, rhythm, improvisation, and the playing of elemental instruments. Please bring a hand drum, a soprano recorder, an interesting prop - and your intuition!

After the usual BME degree followed by a MM and Assistantship in Piano Performance at the U of Ill., and seven years of K-6 teaching, Judith Thomas opened her teacher's manual in Nyack, NY to "Sabbaticals"... and ended up applying for a year of study at the Orff Institute in Salzburg.
